With nearly 30 years of experience in the global construction industry, Martin Miller has gained the insight necessary to consistently deliver cost estimates on time and within budget. Martin began his career in South Africa as a qualified quantity surveyor, providing guidance through all phases of numerous construction projects and protecting the owners’ best interests. In this role, he developed invaluable expertise in controlling the financial side of projects from inception through completion.
Martin made the transition to cost estimating shortly after moving stateside and, in 2010, joined TCT as the firm’s Managing Director for its Washington, DC office. He is the primary contact for the firm’s Mid-Atlantic clients, and also ensures that his team’s time is properly allocated and made available to keep projects on schedule. His other responsibilities include the preparation of estimates for new construction and renovation projects, participation in design charrettes, formal and informal value engineering, and QA/QC processes. Martin’s background as a quantity surveyor enables him to take a “big picture” approach to every project. He couples his recognition of client needs with proactive communication to provide estimates that are clear, concise and practical.
Nick Maiorana has spent nearly three decades as an estimator within the A/E/C industry working with project owners, contractors and consultants. Throughout his experience, he has become proficient in developing estimates from the conceptual phase through construction documents for all design disciplines. His responsibilities have included bidding, contracting and subcontracting management, budgeting and financial management, quality assurance, and site planning.
As TCT’s Director of MEP, Nick manages the firm’s in-house MEP department and allocates staff to ensure resources remain readily available. He understands that nearly all estimates contain an aspect of MEP design and continually researches the ever-changing MEP systems and technology to better inform his estimates. Nick views each estimate as an opportunity to leverage his diverse experience to positively affect each project. He attributes his track record of successful estimates to his ability to remain flexible and responsive to client needs while maintaining consistent communication.
Linda Lee’s approach to cost estimating has remained steadfast through nearly three decades: remain detail-oriented and methodical while working at a pace that puts projects on or ahead of schedule. She pairs this approach with an array of experience, which allows her to gain an in-depth understanding of each project and has resulted in a track record of delivering successful estimates.
Linda’s technical expertise and leadership has made her one of the firm’s key estimators, and she is currently the project manager for on-call cost estimating contracts with NYU Langone Medical Center and the NYC School Construction Authority (SCA). In addition, Linda is responsible for managing a team of estimators and utilizes her knowledge of the estimating process and software to increase her project team’s proficiency.
Solomon Asomaning is a qualified quantity surveyor with over four decades of cost management experience throughout the United States, Canada and West Africa. His tenure as a quantity surveyor, during which he managed construction costs and contracts on behalf of owners throughout a project’s lifecycle, provides him with the insight necessary to scrupulously develop detailed and well informed cost estimates.
In his role as a cost estimator with TCT, Solomon has been responsible for preparing estimates through each phase of design; completing estimate change orders; and providing reconciliation and value engineering services. He has estimated an array of projects for various municipal, state and federal agencies, and utilizes his proficiency in various computer-based estimating programs to produce estimates in a timely manner.
With nearly four decades of experience as a Senior Project Manager and Mechanical Estimator, Randy Eckley has successfully maintained the accuracy and integrity of construction cost estimates for an array of project types. His experience includes project management, supervising within the estimating department, and coordinating field operations. Past projects include working with Baltimore County Department of Public Works, Johns Hopkins University, and Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission. With TCT, Randy has also provided cost estimating services for New York City’s Office of Management & Budget Hurricane Sandy Recovery Projects, as part of an on-call contract. Under this contract, there were a wide variety of repair projects for municipal, commercial, and recreational buildings which included work on parks, waterfront buildings, offices, fire and police stations, plazas, museums, and aquariums that were damaged by the storm. Scopes of work have included total building replacement, flood walls, coastal remediation and mitigation, emergency communication equipment, and foundation construction for the elevation of buildings.
Jeannine joins TCT with 28 years’ experience in leadership, business development, and marketing roles for nationally recognized A/E firms and general contractors along the East and West Coasts. Her experience has resulted in an expansive network of client and colleague relationships, as well as technical knowledge in all facets of building systems. Jeannine will aid the firm’s growth in the Washington, DC area, where she will be working on market analysis; business opportunity forecasting; capture and win strategies; and bid and proposal strategic development, including competitive analysis.
We are pleased to welcome Michael Cuccia to our New York, NY office as TCT’s Business Development Manager. In his role, Michael will collaborate with project management staff and our Sales & Marketing team to develop and maintain client relationships, pursue leads, qualify and manage opportunities, and support the firm’s strategic business development initiatives.
Michael joins TCT with 15 years of experience in customer service, sales and management. Most recently, he worked as the Sales Operations Manager for the Arcadia Group, a supplier of high-end aluminum fenestration products for the construction industry, where he led the firm’s sales operations and served as the primary contact for architects, contractors and national sales representatives.
Marilyn Goslin has acquired considerable field and office experience in over 35 years in the design and construction industry. While working at the Joint Field Office in New Orleans as a Technical Assistance Contractor, she was responsible for cost validation of government audits, development of scope for estimates from damage descriptions, and review and revision of estimates prepared by others across a broad spectrum of project types and sectors. Marilyn attends client meetings, manages other estimators and is effective at working with contractors and owners. A LEED Accredited Professional, Marilyn is currently providing cost estimating services for New York City’s Office of Management & Budget Hurricane Sandy Recovery Projects as part of an on-call contract..
Necol is an Associate Cost Estimator for Toscano Clements Taylor, LLC. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and Applied Mathematics from Hofstra University. During her studies, she specialized in Operations Analysis. At TCT, her duties include preparing takeoffs and estimates for the architectural and general construction trades. She has worked on various projects in the higher education, healthcare, and commercial markets.
From analysis of building deficiency and inspection, to coordinating construction renovation projects, Ali brings a diverse background in the construction industry to TCT as a Cost Estimator. He continuously supports Senior Estimators on complex projects across markets including: higher education, K-12, commercial and government projects throughout the Washington, D.C. and New York metropolitan areas. He has worked on higher education and K-12 projects in the past for DC DGS, NYC School Construction Authority, and SUNY while also doing work on municipal buildings and recreational facilities. His recent project experience includes work for the NYC Build It Back Program on commercial and residential properties damaged by Super Storm Sandy.
Tema manages the daily office operations and assists with all aspects of TCT’s human resources activities. Recently, she seamlessly transitioned the internal payroll to ADP Total Source and she continuously utilizes her extensive experience in small business financial management to evolve personnel services as the company grows.
We are pleased to welcome Alex Pamboris back to TCT as an MEP Estimator. Alex is rejoining our firm with 11 years of experience and will be supporting the MEP team out of our New York City office. He most recently worked for Currie & Brown, a multinational asset management and construction consultancy firm, where he was primarily responsible for the delivery of project controls services.
Alex holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technologies from SUNY Farmingdale and a certificate in construction cost estimating from the New York City School of Continuing Education. Despite a self-professed disdain for cold weather, he enjoys spending much of his free time snowboarding.
Marina is a Commercial, Industrial, and Residential Cost Estimator with estimation and engineering expertise in building renovation and construction projects. In her career, Marina has been responsible for takeoffs for interior and exterior trades, site development, and value engineering activities. Additional duties include providing cost estimating services for New York City’s Office of Management & Budget Hurricane Sandy Recovery Projects, as part of an on-call contract. As our Administrative Assistant, Leslie supports all of TCT’s staff members with day-to-day office operations. She is a highly qualified professional with strong previous administrative experience in healthcare, management consulting, and commercial real estate.
Anissa is TCT’s Marketing Database Administrator. In her role, she assists the firm with the implementation and management of Cosential, our customer relationship management platform, and also helps manage the flow of project and personnel data between Cosential and our financial and project management platforms. Anissa joins TCT with over 15 years of experience in marketing, data management, and organizational development. Most recently, she worked as the Marketing Database Administrator at Oxford University Press, where she led successful projects in data management, data cultivation, and targeted strategic marketing.
We recently welcomed Allison White to TCT’s Huntington office as a Proposal Coordinator. Allison joins TCT with nearly ten years’ experience as a marketing professional in the A/E/C industry. In her role, Allison will assist the sales & marketing department with proposal preparation, teaming opportunities, and market research.
Rahul is a Junior Mechanical Cost Estimator for Toscano Clements Taylor, LLC. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mathematics from the City College of New York. During his studies, Rahul specialized in HVAC system design and Nuclear Power Plant system design. At TCT, his duties include preparing takeoffs and estimates for HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection. He also assists with general construction takeoffs and estimates. He has worked on various projects in the higher education, residential, and municipal markets.
Aria has over fifteen years of experience as a project manager and estimator. He has managed a broad range of construction projects from conception to completion in markets such as healthcare, commercial, transportation and education. In addition to being focused on efficiency and his project management responsibilities, Aria has also developed and updated processes for the Critical Path Method (CPM) Construction Schedules. He is currently responsible for project management, quality control, scheduling, negotiations and managing on-time delivery for TCT’s projects. His skills include AutoCAD 2000, P6 & P3 Primavera, and Microsoft Project. Aria’s past projects in the higher education, K-12, and municipal markets include working with DASNY, FDNY, SUNY, and the NYC School Construction Authority. He has also worked on medical centers, chiller replacement, feasibility studies, libraries, and transportation.
Alex is a Mechanical Estimator with TCT. In his role, he is responsible for providing estimation and pricing for HVAC and MEP systems. He holds an M.S. in Engineering and Industrial Management and applies his past experience as a project engineer to his work as an estimator.
We are also pleased to welcome Ash Kondapali to our New York City office as an Associate Cost Estimator. Ash has joined TCT part-time as she completes her MS in Construction Administration at Columbia University. Prior to joining the firm, she was an assistant manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Construction Dispute Resolution and Claim Management, Risk Advisory Services in Mumbai, India.
Ash is a Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) and holds a Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering from Jawaharla Nehru Technological University in Hybderabad, India. She also holds a Post-Graduate certificate in Advanced Construction Management from the National Institute of Construction Management and Research in Pune, India. New York City marks the sixth city in which Ash has resided over the last ten years, which she believes has refined her personality to make her very adaptable and flexible.
TCT is pleased to welcome Tianyang Yu to our New York City office as an Associate Cost Estimator. Tianyang most recently worked as a cost consultant with Dharam Consulting; he also has experience working as a commercial real estate analyst.
George manages TCT’s information technology and computer systems, ensuring the smooth operation of all of our software and equipment.
Andrew joins TCT with two years of marketing experience in the A/E/C industry. Prior to starting his marketing career, he spent two and a half years working as a construction inspector, which provides him a unique firsthand perspective of the industry.
Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from St. John’s University in Queens, NY. An avid sports fan, he spent his first year and a half out of college as a freelance sports writer, covering Long Island high school sports and the National Hockey League.
Tori recently joined TCT as an IT Specialist. With over 10 years’ experience in network administration and IT project management, she has been working to optimize TCT’s network infrastructure and functionality.
Stroodle is a founding member of Toscano Clements Taylor and currently works part-time in our Long Island office as a greeter. Her responsibilities include keeping track of visitors, The UPS Guy, and lunch deliveries; employee engagement; and making announcements.
In her free time, she enjoys long naps in the sun, short walks in her stylish jacket, and scavenger hunts.
