TCT provided cost estimating services from concept to CD estimate for the design of a new, multi-storied, 95,000 SF School of Business with associated parking and site work studies. The new building features state-of-the-art wireless technology so that students and faculty can connect to the network anywhere within the building, including the new professional style suites for student & career services and graduate programs, collaborative research centers and a fully equipped trading room. The interior spaces are organized around a multi-story common space. The new building created a gateway signature building for the School of Business and includes a sunken garden courtyard to the south. The building and landscape design considers sustainable and LEED criteria by proper orientation and siting of the building. Scope included tunneling/pipe jacking below an existing roadway to extend the water main to the new facility. In addition to cost estimating services, we reconciled each phase with the SUCF Cost Estimator and an SUCF independent cost estimator, provided value engineering services and early bid packages. The accepted bid was within 3% of the final estimate.
