As part of AECOM’s contract with NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), TCT provided cost estimating services during the Pre-Selection Contract Documents phase for the removal and replacement of two emergency generators and various related equipment at the Jamaica Wastewater Treatment Plant. The Pre-Selection Contract entailed the preparation of equipment submittals for the two emergency generators and one switch gear, submittal review time and approval, as well as the manufacturing, testing, and delivery of the generators and switch gear.

As part of the Pre-Selection Contract, TCT prepared two Class 1 construction cost estimates based on the 90% and 100% design document packages prepared for pre-selection contract. Class 1 estimates are generally prepared to be used by subcontractors for bids, or by owners for check estimates. Typically, engineering is from 50% to 100% complete, and would comprise virtually all engineering and design documentation of the project, and complete project execution and commissioning plans.
