TCT provided cost estimating services for the modernization of this 1931 elementary school at concept and schematic phases as well as provided an estimate for swing space. The school had an addition in the 1970s and the original building was approved by the DC Historical Preservation Review Board. The scope included the demolition of the addition with a replacement addition or additions to increase the total school size to 145,000 SF under a design-build approach, with a GMP finalized in April 2015. With the use of trailers and swing space, the students had adequate facilities to be kept on site during construction. The project achieved LEED Gold certification.
